Is Vancouver Unaffordable? The Fraser Valley Is Beckoning.
(September 15, 2014
)
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) came out and stated that declining affordability could slow B.C. housing market in 2015. While our real estate team agrees that some markets and in particular the much vaunted inner city urban market might be affected. That is a normal occurrence and is affected from time to time as the waves of immigration and in-migration goes through its natural cycles and inverted peaks.
We LOVE Vancouver, West Vancouver, North Vancouver and the metro communities and have significant family and business history in their hallowed neighbourhoods.
However, one does not have to look farther than the spectacular growth of the Fraser Valley (and the mostly untouched eastern areas) to see significant affordability and outstanding opportunity for quality of life.
All types of buyers from first timers, seniors, families of all types and sizes to palatial luxury for executives and those seeking larger acreages will continue to find a beautiful property to call home.
While city of Vancouver politicians and special interest groups spend hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars on condos for Vancouver's homeless the market will adjust and correct to demand. Real estate industry sales professionals are in the trenches working hard with for and with our buyers and sellers and understand full well just what has and is happening with our various markets. Whether the markets are up or down or in flux (which they constantly are) our passionate and caring real estate team at THE BC HOME HUNTER GROUP are working tirelessly for the home owners and communities of our beloved British Columbia.
