Metro Vancouver Millennial's Decamping From The Urban Jungle?

(September 05, 2014 )

Say it isn't so!THE BC HOME HUNTER GROUP REAL ESTATE TEAM BCHOMEHUNTER.COM METRO VANCOUVER FRASER VALLEY WEST COAST URBAN & SUBURBAN HOMES & LAND SALES & MARKETING EXPERTS  Metro Vancouver millennial's and their brethren are relocating to, gasp, the burbs? Our real estate team at The BC Home Hunter Group have for over a decade been forecasting the “decamping” of hip urban offspring of Vancouver baby boomers. Apparently it is no longer an urban legend after all.

As we forecast in our 2004 and 2014 articles, “Rise of the Burbs”, the GVRD suburbs have and are increasingly becoming home to the lion’s share of first time home buyers not attracted by downtown Vancouver’s concrete coffin lifestyle.

Yes, condos are without a doubt an excellent choice for many, including seniors and first time home buyers. However as the media and special interest groups decry the cost of “living” in Vancouver and the tri cities we routinely advise our buyers to buy into the Fraser Valley townhouse market and if they can, buy dirt, our real estate team loves dirt. The list of benefits, both tangible and intangible from owning a detached home versus a condo is almost as long as the list of taxes we pay here on the west coast.THE BC HOME HUNTER GROUP REAL ESTATE TEAM BCHOMEHUNTER.COM METRO VANCOUVER FRASER VALLEY WEST COAST URBAN & SUBURBAN HOMES & LAND SALES & MARKETING EXPERTS
